The next step in developing my darkmode design process was to test what I have learned on a new idea. You may have heard of the fitness band called the Whoop band, which is a wearable tracker focused on fitness and recovery. I have used it for the past four months and find it very informative for areas of my life such as sleep and exercise. However, the app always bugged me.
For the most part, it does what it's supposed to do. While the data is presented in the right places, as a designer, I felt that I could improve it to better suit my needs and goals.
So here is a peek at what I have done so far. A more detailed breakdown of my process and ideas will follow.
So far, I have designed three components for it. "Today's Strain" calculates the user's daily stain based on their activity and recovery for the previous day.
"Last night sleep score" displays how you slept the night before. Each of these blocks can then be dived into for more information.
In the "Whoop AI Coach" button, users would be able to enter training goals and objectives and receive AI-generated training plans.
